What you usually need for a German visa

Valid passport

Must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your stay.

Evidence of funds

Bank statements, sponsor letter or other proof showing you can cover your stay.

Travel medical insurance

Needs to cover your full trip with minimum required coverage. Why it matters: the embassy won’t accept applications without it.

Supporting documents

Do I need a visa to travel to Germany?

A visa isn’t always required to travel to Germany. Use Germany's online Visa Navigator to see if you actually need a visa and what the requirements are.
What types of German visas does Travelisa support?

Travelisa can support you with short-stay Schengen visas for tourism or business, and both long and short-stay visas for study in Germany.
Does Travelisa submit my visa application for me?

By default, Travelisa submits your official online VIDEX application form for you, but you can opt out if you prefer to do that yourself. You then need to book an appointment at a German visa application centre to provide your biometrics and supporting documents. Travelisa can’t do that for you, but provides you with guidance on those final steps.
How do I know if I should choose Self-Managed or Expert Visa Assist?
