How do I apply for this visa? 

Once you’re ready to apply for your visa, you can do this at the German visa application centre, embassy, or consulate in your country of residence. 

The process for a Transit Visa lasts around 5 working days at most. Do not submit your application earlier than 6 months before your planned date of travelling through Germany.
