Student Visa

There are a few steps to follow to get a student visa:

• Get all of the documents together 
• Complete the application forms
• Book an appointment at the Italian Consulate or Embassy in your place of residence

Once you’ve filled out your student visa application forms, these can be submitted to the visa office or the Embassy Consulate of Italy. If you need some contact details for the embassy, you can visit Visa for Italy and just select the country you live in, click ‘confirm’ and all of the information you need will show for your nearest embassy.

Student visa applications need to be submitted no more than 6 months before you’re due to travel (or 9 months before if you’re a seafarer). 

Handy hint: As a rule, it’s suggested that you submit your forms no later than 15 days before you intend to travel.
