How long will I be able to stay in the UK for with this visa?

When travelling for medical reasons with a Standard Visitor visa, you can stay for up to 6 months. But you may be able to stay longer if you’re travelling for private medical treatment - in this circumstance, you can stay for up to 11 months.

However, to stay longer, you’ll need to pay an additional fee of £200. You’ll also need to apply for a Biometric Residence Permit, this is essentially an ID card that includes key details about yourself, including your name, date, place of birth, photo and fingerprint.
