Holders of the EU Blue Card with managerial or specialist roles in IT can now substitute academic credentials with relevant work experience.     Say goodbye to bureaucratic hurdles when switching employers in Belgium. Holders of the EU Blue Card now have the freedom to change employers effortlessly. A simple notification to the Regional Employment Ministry within the first year is all it takes. After 12 months, switching employers becomes even smoother, without the need for extensive immigration procedures, if salary requirements are met.

    In 2024, the required yearly taxable salary for obtaining the EU Blue Card stands at €60,621, Belgium is also expanding work permit exemptions, making it easier for business visitors to engage in various activities such as conferences, seminars, and business negotiations.
